On Thursday night we attended the awards ceremony for the Africa Photographic Awards at Montecasino, hosted by Nikon. This was a well-organised, entertaining event, with Kingsley Holgate also making us aware of the incredible work they do on preventing malaria in Africa. We enjoyed the company of Mario and Gaylen Sales, as well as Zani du Preez, Natasha's daughter.I had entered 5 images in different categories, and my entry in the "family" and "wedding photograph" made it to the finals. I was honoured to be placed first in the "wedding photograph" category, Mario's portfolio came second in "wedding photographer" and Zani first in "highschool student photography".
